The
British lop is one of the larger breeds. It is long and lean
with deep sides. It has lop ears, a pure white skin and long
silky hair. It is an easy to manage, docile pig and is happy
to be kept outdoors all year round. They are excellent at
foraging and grazing, produce good sized litters and are
excellent mothers.
The
British Lop is a good 'all round'' pig producing excellent
pork, ham and bacon.
The
British Lop is an endangered species with less than 200
registered breeding
sows.
